100% WASHABLE RUGS

Cleaning

Our rugs are 100% washable and most stains will have a solution. If a stain occurs, the sooner you treat it, the easier it will be to clean.
Our rugs do not have anti-stain treatment. (For example, stubborn stains such as pure oil stains cannot be removed).

Maintenance

Vacuum regularly without the brush attachment. If you want to sweep it, you can do it with a soft bristle brush always sweeping in the direction of the fibers.

Small Stains

Treat on the spot, absorbing the stain with a clean and dry cloth. If there is an excess of the stain, remove it with a spoon or a rounded knife. Clean the area with a damp sponge or soft bristle brush and warm soapy water.

Liquid stains

Perform a complete wash with a pressure washer. If the rug is small you can also wash it in the bathtub. If it is very big or you have not enough space to wash it, we recommend you to resort to a professional.
We recommend performing a deep cleaning with hydro washing machine once a year.

General Care

Our rugs are made entirely of polypropylene threads (100% recyclable material). They can be used both indoors and outdoors, are lightweight and have a relaxed look. Ideal for medium or light traffic. When placed, it may take some time for your rug to settle. It can look wrinkled after being rolled up. This can be solved with the help of a floor drainer.

Rug pads can help rugs stay put, provide cushioning, protect floors, and extend the life of a rug.You may not need a rug pad if your rugs already have a rubberized non skid backingTo extend the rug’s lifespan, we recommend:

- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as it can damage or discolor it over time.
- Hang the rug and let it dry after rain or washing (make sure both sides are perfectly dry).
- Avoid any exposure to chlorine or saltwater.
- Avoid leaving your rug outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Our rugs are hand-loomed woven, the sides of the rugs may not be completely straight. When woven on handlooms, the pressure of the fabric varies, causing it to yield and the sides may slightly curve. The same may happen with the stripes.
- Do not pull any loose thread. If a thread is released, you can simply reinsert it into the weave with the help of a needle.
- The size of each rug may vary a few inches as a result of its handcrafted production.
- The colors may slightly vary according to each thread’s batch. Dark weaves are usually interwoven over a light warp.

JUTE

Jute is a sustainable fiber, highly durable and long wearing. This natural fiber has a silky shiny look that brings an attractive organic accent to the dining room, bedroom and living room.

Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Rotate the rug every 3 months to avoid uneven fading and wear.

Do not place your rug in humid or wet areas, or recently-treated floors (hydro-lacquered, laminated, smoothed cement, etc.)

Vacuum often, using a low-powered vacuum cleaner, preferably one without a beater brush.

Solid stains:

You can scrape them off with a dull knife. Then, you can use a hard bristle brush, and finally vacuum any remains.

Liquid stains:

Absorb immediately with a dry cloth or paper tissue. Avoid rubbing the liquid on the rug.

Avoid excess water and cleaning products, as they could damage or fade the rug.
For larger, deeper stains, send the rug to a professional service with experience cleaning natural fiber rugs.

Do not pull any loose thread, just cut it carefully with a scissor.
The use of a rug pad will prevent the rug from slipping, keep the rug smooth and flat, and prevent color transferring.

TENCEL®

Tencel™ is a natural fiber derived from eucalyptus and its fibers are grown sustainably. FIBERS are “eco-friendly”, which means that their production process has a low impact on the environment. Tencel™ fibers are also biodegradable.

This plant-based chemical structure gives these textiles their desirable properties, such as a natural next-to-skin softness, breathability and good moisture management.

Its smooth surface creates a silk-like sheen and a soft feel underfoot. It’s perfect to give your spaces that stylish look. Tencel™ fibers are designed to be more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk, and cooler than linen.

Tencel™ rugs are characterized by tonal variations that may be affected by the light in a room as well as the angle from which the rug is viewed.

Care & Cleaning

- Your rug will keep its perfect original beauty as long as you maintain it correctly.
- Natural fibers are inherently absorbent and should not be placed in damp areas or where spills are likely to occur. Never use liquids on Tencel™ rugs.
- Vacuum regularly. Frequent vacuuming will remove the fine dirt particles that can lodge between the fibers and cause additional wear. For best results, use a suction only vacuum: no beater bar, no rotary power head.
- Remove spills immediately with a clean dry cloth.
- Avoid rubbing stains, which causes them to settle more deeply.
- If cleaning is needed, send the rug to a professional service with experience cleaning fine rugs. - Rotate the rug every 3 months to avoid uneven fading and wear.
- To preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using a rug pad.
